While producing my magazine and the books for the portfolio show, I demonstrated a strong interest in the production aspect. I love being able to see it go from a flat pile of paper to a book. It was irritating at first when I couldn’t get the staples to be lined up exactly the way I wanted them, but after my first few books, I started to get the hang of it, and it went by quickly. I wish I were able to do more books, but everyone had to do ten. Something about being able to produce them made me very calm and excited at the same time.
